Founded in 1996 as Metro Background Solutions by Jeanie Waters, 3rd Degree Screening began as a wholesale provider of background checks for the largest screening companies in the U.S. Over the next 12 years, we processed hundreds of thousands of wholesale background checks — building deep expertise in every search type and jurisdiction.
In 2012, we rebranded to 3rd Degree Screening, Inc. and shifted our focus to become a direct business-to-business provider of pre-employment background checks, drug testing, and more. Today, headquartered in Iowa and Nebraska, we serve employers across all 50 states with the same commitment to accuracy and service that built our reputation.
